11 Rules that helped me gain over 6,000 high quality investors relationships in the UAE & GCC
Posted on: 28 August 2024
1 - Always use a CRM when reaching out to investors. (In my case, this is so important that we created our own).
2 - Create a fund raising plan with a solid timeline and stick to it.
3 - Create a system that is repeatable and sustainable when reaching out to investors.
4 - Always re-organize your database and reach out to your investors on a regular basis.
5 - Learn to speak investor's lingo by constantly researching VC & Private Equity trends.
6 - In whatever business you run, have an investment event strategy like going to Cryptovsummit or Metavsummit to meet investors in your niche. (Find them here www.doublemorgan.com)
7 - Utilize LinkedIn well by consistently connecting with potential investors. And make sure to have a clear idle investor profile before doing so. Don't do random reach outs.
8 - Utilize LinkedIn even better by creating content about why investors should partner with you and target those idle investors.
9 - Don't be afraid of rejection and ask for what you want from investors.
10 - Learn to say no to distractions.
11 - Always ask your network if they can refer you to investors. You will be surprised on how this can compound into a meaningful strategy.
They might be simple rules but we all sometimes forget to do them.
Let me know if i missed anything.
Share this with an entrepreneur who is fundraising, it might be the motivation they need during a tough day!
